How accurate is an online hearing check?
Your headphones, device volume and surroundings affect the result. This check measures your responses on that setup; it does not establish clinical hearing-loss levels. A calibrated assessment with an audiologist is needed for diagnosis.
What do I get for free?
The hearing check, graph, explanation and download are free. You can also request a free AI explanation. It is optional and does not change the measurements. Contributions are voluntary.
Do I need an account?
No. The new check works without signing in. You can download your result or choose Save on this device to reopen it in the same browser.
What if my hearing changed suddenly?
Seek medical care immediately for sudden hearing loss. Do not wait for an online result or AI explanation. Read the NIDCD guidance.
Why was this hearing check created?
I’m Ron. I live with hearing loss and built this because I wanted an easier way to check my hearing and understand the results at home.
An independent project. This website does not provide a medical diagnosis.
